The German development studio Keen Games announced that they will participate with their survival adventure Enshrouded in this year’s Steam Next Fest
in October. This includes a demo of the first hours of the game. You can find all the information about the demo and the appropriate trailer in this article.
When can you play the demo? As part of this year’s Steam Next Fest
, you will have the opportunity to play the cooperative survival adventure on Steam from October 9 to 16 in a demo version. It is the first open opportunity to experience the RPG from the Frankfurt studio before it enters early access.
In the new gameplay teaser (via Youtube), you can expect an impression of the content of the demo. We have embedded the trailer here for you:
So far, only a selection of players has been able to test Enshrouded in the beta. We recently showed you the houses that were built during this.
What can you expect from the demo? The demo will allow you to experience the first hours of the game and provide you with a lot of gameplay options and content.
You start your journey through the demo by awakening as a Flameborn and starting in the devastated expanses of Embervale. Your first task will be to build a Flame altar. This will help you discover the riches and ruins that are surrounded by a mysterious fog.
You can move in a predefined demo area and engage in terraforming, as well as build and demolish. The demo version will also allow you to fight and level up.
Or you can befriend the first legendary craftsman – the blacksmith – during the demo. You will also be able to experience all of this in cooperative mode. However, surviving the demo alone will also be an option.
The perfect introduction even for survival newcomers
The developers hope to encourage newcomers to step into the survival genre with the demo. They say that the demo of Enshrouded can be suitable for this, as it maintains a relaxed approach to the survival elements.
You don’t have to worry about dying due to lack of preparation. With buffs that you receive through food, you can ensure your survival. You can use shelters or find NPC companions in the surrounding villages and loot your enemies.
For all brave players who want more, the demo offers you the opportunity to explore the mysterious fog. However you choose to approach it, the demo promises you a lot to give you an insight into Enshrouded and its world.
If you are among the players who have been waiting for the release of the game for some time, the demo could be perfect to sweeten your remaining waiting time a bit. If you haven’t heard anything about Enshrouded so far or are still undecided, you can use this demo to form a better opinion.
What do you think? Will you use the demo version or would you rather wait for early access?
