On Steam, you can currently buy a popular co-op shooter for 9.89 euros, where you slaughter alien hordes with flamethrowers and Gatling guns.
Which shooter is it? Until June 29, the co-op shooter “Deep Rock Galactic”, released in 2020, is on sale on Steam with a 67% discount and costs only 9.89 euros.
In Deep Rock Galactic, you take on the role of heavily armed dwarves who fulfill missions for the eponymous mining company “Deep Rock Galactic” and cooperatively venture into procedurally generated caves with up to 4 players.
Besides collecting resources, killing aliens is one of the core elements of these missions. To help you slaughter the alien hordes, the game offers you 4 classes and various “tools” such as flamethrowers and Gatling guns.

“Anyone who likes this genre has to try this!”
How are the reviews for the shooter? Deep Rock Galactic is very popular among fans. On Steam, the title has collected over 170,000 reviews, with a strong 97% being positive. Additionally, the shooter received a good 85 score on the review platform Metacritic.
On Steam itself, players are also full of praise. Many commend the gameplay and emphasize the high quality of the shooter:
- NeonLéon: “By far one of the best games in terms of value for money, quality of life, and gameplay loop. Absolute recommendation! ROCK AND STONE (via Steam)!”
- Tune2004: “One of the best games out there. Anyone who likes this genre has to try this! It might seem a bit boring at first because you have to do mostly the same thing, but the further you go, the more you unlock. For 3 GB, there is really a lot of content in the game (via Steam).”
- Herr Seeker: “This ‘silly game about dwarves’ has more soul in it than most games that have come out in the last ten years (via Steam).”
- Nex: “Deep Rock Galactic is truly a gem in my library. […] And I have to say that after 15 minutes of intense thinking, I really couldn’t think of anything bad about Deep Rock Galactic (via Steam).”
Deep Rock Galactic is set to receive a sort of successor called “Deep Rock Survivor” in 2023. There, you will also take on the role of a dwarf slaughtering aliens, but this time it’s not a co-op shooter in first-person perspective, but an action-roguelite in top-down view, whose gameplay is reminiscent of the surprise hit Vampire Survivor.
New game will be an exciting mix of 2 of the best games on Steam
