The shooter Titanfall 2 has one of the top games on Steam with 94% positive reviews. A surprising update has now reactivated the multiplayer mode and drastically increased the player count. The acclaimed sci-fi shooter is currently only €3 in the Ultimate Edition.
What was the problem with Titanfall 2?
- The shooter Titanfall 2 was released in 2016 and was considered a “cursed game” from the start because it was released between CoD: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 and got lost in the commotion surrounding the games. Although relatively few people played Titanfall 2, they loved the game: The sci-fi shooter also received great reviews: 89% on Metacritic (PS4).
- In addition to the relatively low player count, matchmaking problems arose later: It took a long time to find a multiplayer match in Titanfall 2.
- As of August 2023, Titanfall 2 was only weakly frequented on Steam. At its peak, Titanfall 2 had a player count of 3,248 on Steam in August. That has now changed.
