What was that update? On the analysis website SteamDB, you can track the changes in Fallout 4. It shows that on April 4, 2023, several depots named “newvegas2” were added. However, these were removed again on April 5 (as of April 6, 2023).
Especially the name of the files raises hopes for many players. Fallout: New Vegas is an extremely popular game in the series. It currently has a rating of about 96% positive reviews on Steam (via Steam, as of April 6, 2023). Among many fans, it is considered the best part of the series. Players in the community immediately think of a possible continuation of the successful title.
What does the community say? The update fueled speculation about a new Fallout part. On Twitter, you can find numerous posts under the hashtag New Vegas.
Many users have high hopes and would be excited about the game. There is also fun speculation that New Vegas 2 has already been canceled, as the content was removed shortly afterward.
