At E3, the online zombie action game State of Decay 2 was once again presented during Microsoft’s press conference. The showcased events are reminiscent of the TV series “The Walking Dead.”
State of Decay 2 takes place in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. The few survivors are trying to survive. The focus is on an exciting single-player experience. The player should feel alone in a world full of zombies and have to find a way to survive. However, there is also a co-op mode for up to four players. However, according to the developers, this is more of a bonus. For example, the difficulty does not scale when you are four instead of alone.

Crafting and no PvP
There is no real open world, instead, there are three very large maps that offer different landscapes. These landscapes will allow you to try out other tactics to survive. However, you cannot just hide anywhere. Because without resources, you generally won’t survive long.
So you explore – either alone or with up to three companions – the large maps in search of resources. You craft new and better equipment from them. PvP is not planned, but players can still get in each other’s way, even if it doesn’t lead to an open fight.
Spooky atmosphere on PC and Xbox One
The gameplay trailer shown at E3 promises excitement and horror, as well as a very atmospheric experience. However, you will have to wait until early 2018 before you can face the zombie invasion on PC and Xbox One.
The plans for a survival MMO have been scrapped by the developers. Instead, more titles are already in planning, which are intended to hit the same notes as State of Decay 2.
