One of the most anticipated titles for RPG fans has news: Not only is the release being postponed again, but players can also expect new information and trailers in the coming days.
Which game are we talking about? If you are into realistic role-playing games set in the medieval era, you cannot get around Kingdom Come Deliverance. The first part, released in 2018, captivated players with its authentic scenario and detailed implementation of the game world and gameplay mechanics. Even though the game could have used a bit more polish overall, it is considered a hot tip among genre fans.
So it’s no surprise that the sequel is also highly anticipated by many players. The developers at Warhorse Studios recently celebrated a milestone: Their game has been added to the wishlist of over one million Steam users.
Aside from that, the developers have important news regarding the release.
In the gameplay trailer, Warhorse Studios shows more of the game – and treats its fans to it:
The wait ends sooner than expected
What new information is available? In a video on x.com, the PR manager of Warhorse Studios, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, talks about the current status. The game is now nearly finished, and they are excited to show it to the fans.
The original release date on February 11, 2025, will not be adhered to. This initially causes a scare since Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has already been postponed in the past.
However, the developers reassure fans: The RPG will not be released later, but rather a week earlier. It will be available on February 4, 2025. Tobias Stolz-Zwilling states that “2025 can start with the best game there is.”
Thanks to the rescheduling, Warhorse Studios is also avoiding some other big titles. February is quite packed: On February 11, the original date for Kingdom Come 2, Civilization VII will be released. Shortly after that come Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Avowed, and at the end of the month, players will be waiting for Monster Hunter Wilds.
Those who are waiting for several of these titles now have a bit more time for Kingdom Come – problem solved!
What else do the developers reveal? The game’s postponement is not all. Warhorse announces a new story trailer on December 5. Additionally, the system requirements for PC and consoles will also be released then.
The story of Heinrich continues in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and is expected to seamlessly connect to the finale of the first part. Did you play the predecessor? Feel free to write us in the comments what you think about it. Part 2 isexpected to be even bigger and more extensive than its predecessor.
