A player has discovered a black hole in their ship in Starfield, through which they can even reach another location.
What is the black hole all about? A Starfield player named “markiethefett” shared a video on Reddit showing a black hole that he discovered in the floor of his spaceship.
In the video, markiethefett first throws some barrels into the hole, which simply disappear. Then he jumps in himself and lands in a different area of his spaceship.
Why is there a black hole in the ship? The black hole seems to be a bug.
At the location of the hole, there should probably be a ladder or something similar leading to a lower deck, but instead of the ladder or a hatch, there is only a completely black opening that does not reveal where it leads.

How does the Starfield community react? The post from markiethefett received over 2,400 upvotes and 180 comments in the Starfield subreddit within a day, most of which reacted humorously, suggesting, for example, to push an NPC into the hole.
Others saw in the video a missed opportunity to splice the Skyrim intro after jumping into the hole. Generally, players found the bug more amusing than annoying.
In general, bugs in games from Bethesda – as well as from other developers – are nothing unusual and do not always have to be just annoying or disturbing, but can also enhance normal gameplay through unplanned but still interesting situations.
For example, one player reported a curious bug that made his ship attack NPCs even when he was not on board:
Ship in Starfield becomes autonomous, fights against NPCs without the player, attacks allies
