In Starfield there are many weapons that you can find on your journeys across the galaxies. One of them, according to a player, is the strongest weapon in the game when combined with the right perks in your skill tree. We will show it to you.
What kind of weapon is it? It is the Va’ruun Inflictor, a rifle of the Va’ruun faction. A player on Reddit took a closer look at the weapon and found that it has one of the most powerful weapon-perk combos that a weapon can have in Starfield.
It benefits not only from one but from a total of 4 skills and can, with the right attachments, keep your opponents at bay, allowing you to completely dominate in battles. We will show you what you need to pay attention to.

Knocks opponents down and keeps them from fighting
How does the weapon get so powerful? The Reddit user SaltyMeatBoy discovered that the Va’ruun Inflictor is a broken weapon of the same faction. The community has known this since the weapon was found, but it goes even further. According to him, the base damage, which is split into energy and physical damage, is not the only reason why the weapon is so powerful.
It’s much more about the synergy of the individual mods and talents that you as a player can find and activate.
According to him, in order to reveal the full potential of the weapon, you need to level up four skills. The following are meant:
- Combat skill tree
- Basic skill: Laser – Level 3
- Advanced skill: Particle beam weapons – Level 4
- Expert skill: Accuracy – Level 4
- Expert skill: Sniper certificate – Level 3
Once you’ve done that, you still need the spread attachment and a scope. You can see the effect of the synergy in SaltyMeatBoy’s proof video:
Why is the combo so powerful? It’s to do with the perks and attachments. According to the Reddit user, damage is increased with the laser and particle beam skill. Accuracy at level 4 knocks your opponents down when you wield a weapon with a scope and land a critical hit.
The sniper certificate also benefits from 25% critical damage when you land headshots with a weapon that has a scope equipped. Note that you do not have to shoot with your scope to activate the effects.
If you combine this with the spread attachment, you fire three shots without a penalty on range or accuracy. This increases the chance of a critical hit and ensures that your opponents will not be able to get back up.
So if you’re looking for a powerful weapon that won’t allow your opponents to fight back, then this combination is definitely a good fit for you.
