Bethesda has released new details about Starfield during a Q&A session, confirming the ability to buy houses as well as prison stays.

Bethesda held a Q&A session on August 16 on the official Discord server of the development studio, during which the developers answered 16 questions about Starfield. Shortly before, the studio announced that Starfield had gone gold and announced the start of the preload.
What did the devs say about houses? When the developers were asked during the Q&A whether players could buy houses in Starfield, the answer was: “Yes! There are houses in various cities that the player can obtain. Some must be bought, and some are rewards for certain quests.”
Another developer added: “You can buy an apartment in all major cities in the game. And there is at least one that you get specifically for completing… something.”
