Starfield is a new action game from Bethesda and the first new IP in 25 years. So far, there has only been a teaser from E3 2018. Now the game is set to be showcased at E3 2021. The trailer was apparently released by the Washington Post. In the meantime, there is the official one from Bethesda itself.
What does the trailer show? There isn’t much gameplay to see. The trailer starts with real scenes from a space probe. After a brief hint at Starfield, a character can be seen in-game walking through a colorful spaceship. There is a firearm lying on the table.
At the end, the spaceship launches from a desolate planet. Whether the journey takes place within the planet or to an alien planet is not clear. The video first appeared on the Washington Post (via Washington Post) and now the trailer has also been uploaded to YouTube:
When is the release of Starfield? In the end card of the video, a release date can be seen. Starfield is set to be released on November 11, 2022, exactly 11 years after TES: Skyrim. It also states that it can be played in Game Pass from day one.
Starfield is coming for Xbox and PC, but not for PS5
On which platforms will Starfield be released? The trailer indicates that Starfield will be playable in Game Pass for Xbox, PC, and via Xbox Cloud (xCloud). However, there will not be a version for PS4, PS5, or other platforms.
What engine does Starfield run on? Starfield will run on the Creation Engine 2. The successor version of the Creation Engine, which was used to develop Skyrim and Fallout 4.
When will we learn more about Starfield? The official trailer from Bethesda was available at the Bethesda event starting at 7:00 PM, which we are live-ticking from MeinMMO.
Industry expert Daniel Ahmad claims on Twitter that more information about the game will come.
What kind of game is this anyway? Starfield, like Skyrim and Fallout 4, is supposed to be a single-player RPG in the Bethesda style. It takes place hundreds of years in the future, and humanity has made the leap into space. However, there is currently no detailed content regarding gameplay and in-game details.
