The release of Starfield is yet to come, but some players are already annoyed by one little thing and wish they could turn it off.
What is this little thing? Reddit user “parsajaghi12” pointed out in a post on the social network about the XP display of Starfield, which shows how many experience points you gain for certain actions.
In the gameplay deep dive in June 2023, the XP display appeared, for example, when the player defeated an NPC enemy or picked a lock.
In his Reddit post, parsajaghi12 explained that he is very annoyed by this XP display and asked how the other members of the Starfield subreddit feel about it. The post garnered over 500 upvotes and 279 comments in 10 days (as of July 27, 2023).
Players want option to turn off XP display
What are the fans saying? Many commentators agree with parsajaghi12 and are also annoyed by the XP display. Fans are bothered, among other things, by the position of the display, which is often quite central on the screen.
Additionally, some players find the XP bar too thick and the display duration too long. Overall, the display and its position break the immersion of the role-playing game, which is why some fans hope that in the finished game, there will be an option to turn off the display or at least move it.
