Starfield offers an early access for owners of the premium edition. We list the offers that bring you into the game early and how you can save a lot here on MeinMMO.

Starfield will be released on September 6, but players of the premium edition can enter 5 days earlier: on September 1 at 2 AM German time.

- Purchase of the premium edition
You can get into the game earlier without detours through the normal purchase of the premium edition of Starfield. The expensive Constellation edition with watch and DLC also gets you into the game earlier. But you have to lay down a lot of cash for that:

You can get into the game cheaper with Xbox Game Pass. Starfield will be part of the subscription at release and can be played without additional costs. However, you will not own the game and will have to stay subscribed if you want to start Starfield.
However, you can get early access for “only” €35 – if the 5 days of early access are worth it to you. This works on the PC pass, console pass, and ultimate pass.
If you have never subscribed to Game Pass before, you can get 14 trial days for free from friends who are subscribers of Game Pass. If you plan a longer subscription, you can save over €200 with a trick.
With the upgrade, you save over €70 at release, but have to remain a subscriber if you want to play Starfield longer.
- Part of a promotion
The hardware manufacturer AMD is running a cooperation with Starfield, and when you buy a new graphics card, processor, or complete system with AMD technology, you will receive the premium edition of Starfield for free. The promotion runs until September 30:
However, you cannot call it a “bargain.” If you are planning to upgrade your system anyway, the promotion might be worth it. The cheapest way to the premium edition of Starfield is through the AMD Radeon RX 6700 – offers for the graphics card can be found for just under €600.
When purchasing the hardware, make sure that the Starfield promotion is part of the offer.

- Watch for giveaways
If you’re still considering whether you really want to get into the game for early access, you can also hope for some luck. Giveaways can often be found on social networks, where you can win the premium edition.
Try it out on Twitter / X: Type “@starfield” in the search bar at the top, hit “Enter” and scroll down. To participate, you often have to follow a channel and retweet the post. We keep our fingers crossed.
Is the premium edition of Starfield worth it? Ultimately, it is almost solely about early access and the upcoming story DLC “Shattered Space,” the price of which we do not know yet – if that’s worth it to you, then go for it. Here are the complete contents of the digital premium edition:
- Starfield main game
- “Shattered Space” story expansion (as soon as released)
- “Constellation” skin pack
- Up to 5 days early access
- Access to “Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack”
If the DLC costs €30, you get early access for about €5, which is reasonable. If Bethesda only wants €20 for the first DLC, that looks different. The price and scope of the DLC are still unknown.
