At the end of August, the new open-world game set in the Star Wars universe will be released. Now there are new insights into the underworld and its inhabitants.
Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world game from Ubisoft’s developer studio Massive Entertainment, known for titles like Far Cry 3 and The Division 2. The game is set to be released on August 30 for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Unlike in most Star Wars games, you won’t be playing as a Jedi here, but you’ll take on the role of the outlaw Kay Vess, whose next payday is more important than the fate of the galaxy.
In a new video, the developers now take you on a brief tour through the galaxy’s underworld, which plays an important role for Kay:
What can you see? In just under 8 minutes, the developers want to bring you closer to several aspects of the underworld. You will likely spend a large portion of your time here in the game, although you will of course have a vast open world to explore. But for an outlaw, the underworld plays a very important role.
With abilities like stealing, sneaking, picking locks, hacking computers, and sabotaging or simply fleeing, Kay fits very well into the underworld.
A war veteran will be your new companion
The video not only provides insights into life and work in the underworld. They also introduce some of the residents and soon-to-be companions of Kay. Among others, the android ND-5 is presented in more detail. A veteran of the Clone Wars, who proudly wears his battle scars on his chest.
Although she usually does not trust strangers, Kay ultimately has to team up with ND-5 to pull off one of the greatest heists ever.
