At Ubisoft Forward 2023, the first gameplay of Star Wars: Outlaws was showcased. Check out the long trailer here.
It has been known for a while that the creators of “The Division,” Massive Entertainment, are working on a game set in the Star Wars universe, and now there is finally more information about it. Furthermore, Ubisoft has released a lengthy trailer with 10 minutes of gameplay.

What’s to be seen? You will get to know the protagonists. We play as Kay Vess, a criminal. Her “sidekick” is named Nix, a mix between a small dog and a lizard. A change from the chirping droids that usually follow Star Wars heroes.
In Star Wars: Outlaws, you’ll experience a more criminal side of the sci-fi universe.
You are a thief yourself, and the trailer shows the escape after a theft. Stealth scenes are shown, and how Nix can help press levers or attack enemies.
But quickly, a shootout ensues, blaster fire everywhere and a house full of enemies. The escape is successful, and suddenly you find yourself on a speeder being chased.
After shaking off the pursuers, Kay wants to hand over the stolen goods. However, the buyer is an Imperial, and another escape ensues – during the negotiations, one could have bribed the Imperial to finish the day in peace. The trailer leads to a confrontation.
This time, however, it’s into the spaceship, away from the planet, into orbit, and into a space battle. Kay disappears from the system into safety via hyperspace.
How was it received? The first reactions under the trailer on YouTube (via youtube.com) look excellent shortly after the trailer release. The presentation leaves a desire for more.
However, a skeptical comment is at the top – everything seems too good.
Yet, the overwhelming majority celebrates the images shown. There is excitement about the expansion of the franchise, and the prospect of an open world is mentioned as a highlight.
