The online shooter Star Wars Battlefront is set to receive a major update in January.
Update: Meanwhile, there is a statement from a Battlefront developer regarding the video from EA Brazil – it seems that quite a bit went wrong.
The information is somewhat difficult. EA Brazil uploaded a video where they talk in Portuguese about Electronic Arts’ plans to provide content for Star Wars Battlefront. It was not about paid DLCs, but about free updates.
A user on reddit translated and clarified that the video is about a free patch that is coming in January.
The update for Star Wars Battlefront in January includes, according to the information:
- a new map on Tatooine
- new outfits for Luke and Leia based on the films (it seems to be a Hoth outfit)
- daily challenges
- private matches
- and special community events are also coming.
The video from EA Brazil has since been taken down. It seems that they realized there were things in it that they did not want to discuss yet. No new footage was seen either, sources consistently report.
