On December 15, the new film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit theaters, and now Electronic Arts has finally announced the release date of the associated DLC and the X-Wing VR mission of the online shooter Star Wars: Battlefront.
If you own a Season Pass for Star Wars: Battlefront, you should save the date December 6. Because on this day the DLC Rogue One: Scarif will be released, allowing you to experience online battles based on the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
In this, you can expect four new maps, including the sandy beaches of the planet Scarif. On this tropical world, the Empire has taken a position and the Rebels will have to deal with the AT-ACTs. It is currently not clear when those without a Season Pass will be able to join.
New heroes available to you are Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic, both of whom play significant roles in the film. A new game mode will combine space battles and ground battles.
The Santa Claus is good to Star Wars fans
But that’s not all, as Electronic Arts also announced when owners of a Playstation VR headset can expect the exclusive virtual reality update Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission. This will also be available for free starting December 6. Then you can dive into a space battle as an X-Wing pilot, unlike anything you’ve probably experienced thanks to VR.
To celebrate this announcement, Electronic Arts is making the first three DLC packs available for free until November 20. Among them is also the attack on the Death Star!
