In the multiplayer shooter Star Wars Battlefront, DICE chose the PlayStation 4 as the lead platform. However, there are rumors that graphics giant AMD and thus the PC want to utilize the traction of Star Wars.
In an interview with PS4daily, a representative from Electronic Arts discussed why Battlefront was primarily showcased on the PlayStation at E3. The reason: The PlayStation 4 is currently the “lead platform” for Star Wars Battlefront. All developer builds are currently on the PS4.
However, the game is also being developed for Xbox One and PC and is scheduled to launch on all three platforms simultaneously on November 17.
Could AMD be planning a bundle
Furthermore, there are speculations that hardware giant AMD wants to use Star Wars Battlefront to sell a new generation of graphics cards, the Radeon X Fury generation. A US site speculates that AMD could sell the new graphics cards in a bundle with the Star Wars game.
But there is no confirmation for this yet.
