Star Wars Battlefront 2 has now received a major update that heralded the first half of the Solo Season. Accompanying this were some quality-of-life changes, which the community is so excited about that the new content has almost been forgotten.
The outcry was great: Instead of the hoped-for Clone Wars content, players in Star Wars Battlefront 2 will receive content themed around the upcoming Han Solo movie in May and June.
On one topic, however, the player community is united: DICE has put significant effort into the quality-of-life changes. For many, these are now more important than the actual new content.

QoL yay, content boo?
Players celebrate QoL changes: Players are particularly happy about the overall changes to the game. In the Battlefront subreddit, the new menu is praised, which has replaced the controversial hologram effect with a clean, tidy look. One player compares the new appearance to collecting real Star Wars figures.
Many users also notice the improved loading times. They jokingly complain that they can no longer make snacks or use the bathroom between matches.
What about the new content? Players are rather reserved about the content. While the subreddit is filled with comments on changes to the core game, players are more reserved with feedback on the first solo content.
Some players see the newly added content as a good basis for further content. Others are disappointed that they had to wait so long, yet so little has been added to the actual game.
Is Geonosis coming?
Players want Clone Wars: With the announcement of the season themed around Han Solo, a large part of the Battlefront 2 player base was disappointed. Fans were actually hoping for content related to the Clone Wars.
There was a small glimmer of hope in the patch notes for the current update: A subpoint of the changes in the Starfighter Assault mode was titled “Geonosis.” This entry has since been removed, but the Battlefront subreddit does not forget and players are actively discussing whether this was just a mistake or possibly a hint at upcoming content.
What is Geonosis? With the mention of the planet Geonosis, the desired content related to the Clone Wars might still be hinted at. The planet was featured in the film “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” and also plays a role in the animated spin-off “The Clone Wars.”
On this planet, the Clone Wars broke out with the Battle of Geonosis, after the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala rescued from execution in an arena.
The English patch notes for Battlefront 2 can be found in the official Battlefront forum.
