The multiplayer shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 will have an open beta on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here are the dates.
The shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 opens its doors to a “multiplayer beta” on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in October.
- The beta runs from October 6 to October 9. Then the open beta will take place.
- Those who pre-ordered can start a bit earlier. It starts on October 4, 2017.
Star Wars Battlefront: Beta is a multiplayer beta, no campaign
The beta of Star Wars Battlefront 2 will offer only very limited gameplay content for testing. It is a multiplayer beta.
The single-player campaign cannot be played. This is a significant development for many this time around in Star Wars Battlefront 2. The first part had no campaign.
In the second part, players will fight on the side of the “evil ones,” in a sense. Players take on the role of Iden Versio. She comes from an “imperial family” and fights on the side of the Empire.

What content is available in the beta of Star Wars Battlefront 2?
So there is no campaign in the beta. So what will be playable?
- The 40-player mode “Galactic Assault Mode” will be playable. Players will participate in the attack on Naboo and fight in the streets of Theed. This was already shown at E3 2017. Players will fight either for the droids of the Separatists or on the side of the Republic’s clones.
- There is the “Starfighter Assault” mode for entering the spaceship. Publisher Electronic Arts promises that players will be able to participate in epic space battles set during the time of the first Star Wars film trilogy.
After the beta, EA will have little time left to make changes to the game. The release of Star Wars Battlefront 2 is on November 17, 2017, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
