In Star Wars Battlefront 2 a new game mode is coming soon. Total Domination will be the largest mode in the game so far. We will tell you what to expect soon in the online shooter for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
This is the new game mode: The mode is called “Total Domination” and is a massive battle that takes place on the ground and in the air. There are two phases per round.
On the occasion of the new mode, there are also new battle locations. Western Pipeline Crossing, on Geonosis, and the interiors of the capital ships “Dreadnought of the Separatists” and “Republic Cruiser” will be part of the game mode.
This is how Total Domination works
These troop sizes are available: A total of 20 players can be in one team. The players are then supported by 12 AI units each. Your squad can therefore have a maximum strength of 32 fighters.
This is how the ground phase works: The round starts on the ground. There you must capture five command posts and prevent the opponents from taking the posts themselves.
Depending on how many posts you currently control, you will earn tickets that are important for the second round.
Eventually, a timer will appear, and you will need to get to your capital ship. If you succeed, you will receive an extra ticket. The ground phase ends with a cinematic.
This is how the invasion phase works: In this phase, you are either attackers or defenders. The attackers storm the airship and try to break through several defensive barriers. If they succeed, they win.
Depending on how many tickets you have collected, you will have that many reinforcements in the spaceship battle.
If the defenders manage to withstand the attack, then again a fight for the tickets takes place on the ground. When it goes back into the air, however, defense consoles that were destroyed in the first round will already be gone.
When does the mode start? From March 26th, this battle mode will be playable in Battlefront.
