At E3, EA unveiled the new expansion for Star Wars Battlefront II – it’s about the Clone Wars!
The E3 announcements have started, and EA is making a big splash. In particular, the beleaguered Star Wars Battlefront II is causing a stir, as the fans’ wishes have been heard. The “Han Solo” expansion was a disappointment, but now there’s reason to celebrate – the Clone Wars are coming to Battlefront II, with the aptly named DLC “Clone Wars”.
Clone Wars was a fan request
The largest map of all time. One of the highlights is said to be the new map on the planet Geonosis, which was seen in Episode II. This is expected to be the largest map ever experienced in Battlefront II. It should set new standards for large battles.
General Grievous, Count Dooku, and Obi-Wan are coming
At least three new heroes. A new expansion also comes with new heroes. Some familiar characters, particularly those appearing in Episode 3, will be included. The choices are the lightsaber collector General Grievous, the notorious Count Dooku, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
When will “Clone Wars” be released? The bad news is that there is still no release date for the “Clone Wars” expansion. It’s only said to take place “later this year”, historically situated between Episodes II and III – during the times of the Clone Wars.
At E3, the developers apologized once again for the mistakes they made at the launch of Battlefront II – particularly the loot boxes were a problem. They intend to “correct” these mistakes and listen more to the community. Fulfilling the request for “Clone Wars” should be an important first step on this path.
