In the SF-MMO Star Trek Online , players can now vote on the next ship design.
This has been a trend for some time: Let’s have the customers determine the next product, whether it’s a burger or a particularly fancy chip variety.
In Star Trek Online, this mechanism is now being used, allowing players over several weeks and phases to determine the design of the next ship, a carrier for the Federation. There’s a choice between various pre-made options.
At the moment, it is still in the design phase: It’s about the appearance, the basic equipment. Out of 8 offered designs, 4 will make it to the next round, and then it continues until one design prevails.
Currently, it’s asking whether Design A or B will get a rose for the next round.
