Nick Offerman plays Bill in the “The Last of Us” series. In the Jimmy Kimmel Show, he explained why he doesn’t play video games.
Who is it about? Actor Nick Offerman portrays Bill in the series based on The Last of Us. He particularly stood out in the third episode of the first season, where the story of characters Bill and Frank is deepened. The episode caused quite a stir after airing, and MeinMMO editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski thinks the third episode is better than the game.
The 52-year-old American has also played various roles in the series Fargo, Devs, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Now, Offerman was a guest on the late-night show “the Jimmy Kimmel Show” and spoke there, among other things, about his video game past.
What did Offerman say? During the show, Jimmy Kimmel asked if Offerman had played “The Last of Us.” The actor denied it and explained that he had sworn off video games 25 years ago after getting hooked on “Banjo-Kazooie” for several weeks.
“I played my last video game 25 years ago […]. I lost a few weeks to a video game called Banjo-Kazooie. […] Then it’s over, and you say: ‘Yes, I won.’ And immediately I thought: ‘What have I done with my life?’ So I decided that I would never do that again.”

Offerman then added that it’s good he has sworn off video games. He points to the quality that games have today and says he probably wouldn’t leave his basement otherwise: “Games have gotten so good; I think I would sit in a basement and not even audition for shows like this anymore.”
