The crowdfunding miracle Star Citizen is selling its huge offering of ships for one more day.

If this were a garage sale, people would probably be served canapés and champagne. Sure, the items are all virtual, but in Star Citizen, prices are called out for which you could also get high-tech in real life: There’s a ship for $500, one for a thousand, and then in lower regions, the “20-dollar category” comes into play. Fans of the game always insist: This is just luxury, it gives you hardly any advantages, you don’t need any of this – but at these prices, the average player’s eyes often widen.
Even at reduced prices, these are dimensions one is not used to. You almost expect to find a “We finance this in 36 easy monthly installments” offer.
Until December 28 the offers on the “Holiday Ship Sale” page of Roberts Space Industries are still valid. If you don’t plan to take advantage of this, you can at least get an idea of all the crazy ships that Star Citizen offers in the ship gallery.
Star Citizen has now raised 102 million US dollars – what is earned from the sale is to be reinvested into the game’s development.
