In Star Citizen, the shooter module “Star Marine” is now part of the Alpha. Shortly after, there were problems with cheaters.
With cheaters and shooters, it’s like the dog and fleas. Somehow they go together.
In Star Citizen, just before Christmas, they had the Alpha 2.6 live. This brought the shooter part “Star Marine” into the game for the first time. Now there are problems with cheaters.
All the classics were still there in 2016 before the turn of the year: Aimbots, Wallhacks, and all that devilry were making the rounds.
This is also a concern for the community. In a user survey, the majority of players chose “We should report them”, but almost just as many are in favor of “Let’s just wait until an anti-cheat tool is integrated.”
It will be interesting to see how Star Citizen deals with this new problem.
