In Star Citizen, you can open “windows” even while traveling in the spaceship. This is not particularly wise, as demonstrated by the streamer Lirik.
Anyone who wants to travel from one place to another in Star Citizen has to endure longer flight times. Sometimes you can be traveling for a quarter of an hour with not much happening. However, the Twitch streamer Lirik impressively shows what you should definitely not do during such a long journey: open a window.
What happened? The streamer Saqib “LIRIK” Zahid is one of the most successful personalities on Twitch and attracts thousands to his stream repeatedly. He plays many different games and frequently switches between them. Now it was Star Citizen’s turn, which posed some problems for the streamer.
A journey from A to B actually takes quite a while in Star Citizen. In Lirik’s case, it was 15 minutes that the character had to endure in a small shuttle. Apparently too much for the streamer, as he humorously remarked:
15 minutes of travel time? I’m so damn claustrophobic! I need to open a window.
So, Lirik opens the door of his shuttle during the journey. After a satisfied “Ah, fresh air…”, he is then sucked into space and drifts away until his death. He comments on this with a few panicked screams and a strained wheeze.
