In the code of the current Star Citizen Alpha, a dataminer discovered something: a massive city that you will presumably visit later in the space MMO.
So-called dataminers have made it their task to scour files and player code for clues about upcoming content. Often, interesting features or upcoming updates can be found there. This is also the case in the current Alpha of Star Citizen. A dataminer made a find that suggests what we can expect from the cities of the online game.
A huge city has been discovered in the files of Star Citizen
Hidden in the files was a complete city, currently named Terra Prime v2. This city has been extracted and can be viewed in real-time in the browser. The models are not yet developed and textured, but the model gives an insight into the size of this city. If one can indeed freely explore it, players can expect a very large area. Considering that Cloud Imperium also wants to integrate NPCs with dynamic daily routines, there could be a lot happening in this city.
Allegedly, the massive city in the game’s code exists in a version of significantly higher quality. However, this would no longer be displayable online in the browser. Now, there is speculation within the “Star Citizen” community about what this city is about. Is it one of the major hubs in the game or is it a concept that has since been discarded? Cloud Imperium Games is currently remaining silent about it.
