For most players, the end of the workday today means it’s time to relax with some online games over the weekend of March 10 to 12. This weekend is especially good for a trip to Bolivia, colorful fantasy worlds, or creepy wastelands.
Death to the Cartel!
Fans of tactics, action, and stunning open worlds surely have already booked a ticket to virtual Bolivia this weekend. In the game, the recently released tactical shooter Ghost Recon Wildlands lets you explore Bolivia, which turns out to be a corrupt drug swamp controlled by the minions of the Santa Blanca cartel.
This portrayal of the country, by the way, is not taken lightly by the Bolivian government and they have already filed a complaint against the manufacturer Ubisoft with the French government. But whether the portrayal of Bolivia in the game is authentic or not, Ghost Recon Wildlands is definitely fun, especially as it has been significantly improved since the disastrous beta version.
What is the editorial team playing?
Of course, the Mein-MMO team also uses the weekend to play our favorite games. Here is our list:
- El Jefe Schuhmann is a creature of habit. Therefore, he continues to hang out in Final Fantasy 14 and will surely manage to bring his heroes to level 60 this weekend. He wants to be ready in time for the release of Stormblood and become a Samurai. For Honor is also still on the agenda, especially since the current update will change quite a bit.
- Ttime is also playing For Honor, but as a dedicated console player, only on his beloved PS4 Pro, where he thanks to now attachable external hard drives no longer has storage issues. To balance the fantasy mayhem, he’s also shooting some rascals in The Division. Recently, content for year 2 has been announced.
- Colleague Leya has just returned from a visit to the Paladins developers Hi-Rez in England and will spend the entire weekend testing the new tank heroine Inara.
- Our house demon Cortyn, on the other hand, is hunting down poor survivors in Dead by Daylight. In there, she is targeting the new survivor Bill as a serial killer. Let’s hope she has success this time and isn’t again mocked, trolled, and teased by the nasty survivors. But also Overwatch, albeit still without the new heroine Orisa, is on her agenda.
- Compañero Patrick has already enlisted his three buddies as Ghosts and snagged the coveted sniper role for himself. Therefore, he will be in Ghost Recon Wildlands just like in the legendary “El Gato” trailer ruining the day for a bunch of Sicarios with his high-end sniper rifle found early on.
I, Jürgen, have just developed a similar passion for covert operations against the Santa Blanca cartel. After finally taking down my first cartel Buchons yesterday (burn in hell, “La Yuri y El Polito”!), I will also be playing Ghost Recon Wildlands this weekend along with some pen-and-paper RPG (DSA ftw!). Since I also like to play as a sniper but currently don’t have a decent scope yet, I will focus on finding better scopes for the sniper rifle.
If I find the time, I will invest my currently saved crowns in the new items in the ESO shop and crown crates of the Wild Hunt, because this stuff totally suits my taste this time.
