It has been over a year since Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released. Since then, the developers have enhanced the cooperative shooter with many new contents, and all of this is now available at the lowest price ever.
What kind of game is this? Space Marine 2 is a third-person shooter that you can play alone or in 3-player co-op (because 4 Space Marines would be “too much massacre”, said the developers).
As in the predecessor, you will again take on the role of Lieutenant Demetrian Titus, an Ultramarine. This time, you are not fighting against Orks but the Tyranids. These insect-like Xenos swarm over you and your companions.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is currently available on Steam with a substantial discount of 60%. The standard edition of the game now costs only €23.99 instead of €59.99 until December 4, 2025.

Plenty of new content – all included in the main game
In what ways has Space Marine 2 become even better? Since the release in September 2024, Saber Interactive, the developer behind the cooperative shooter, has released many new contents for the game. You don’t need to purchase the most important ones separately.
New game modes and enemy types were added in free updates. For instance, in Season 2 of the game, the forces of Chaos were introduced as a new enemy faction alongside the Tyranids. The Chaos is embodied by the followers of Tzeentch.
The only paid DLCs are packs for individual Chapters of the Space Marines that mainly deliver new cosmetic content. If you want to charge into battle with the armor and weapons of your favorite Chapter, a single additional DLC is sufficient.
Space Marine 2 has already teased new content for 2026, which should be particularly exciting for PvP players.
The Ultramarines that you play in Space Marine 2 are just one of many Chapters of super soldiers in Warhammer 40,000. One of them was so obscure that it was considered lost in the real world: A Chapter of Space Marines was considered a figment of imagination for 20 years, blurry photos now prove its existence
