Bungie responds to fan criticism and plans to increase the spawn rate of the Gambit boss for the Destiny 2 service violation quest soon.
Have you also invested a lot of time grinding for the service violation quest and still haven’t seen the Ascendant Primeval? That is set to change soon.
Spawn rate for the Ascendant Primeval in Gambit is set to be buffed
Over the past week, Bungie has faced a lot of criticism for the spawn rate of the Ascendant Servitor in Gambit. Many Guardians are frustrated.

The problem: Players can only obtain the quest for the exotic hand cannon service violation by defeating this Gambit boss. However, even after well over 100 Gambit matches and significant time investment, numerous players have not even seen this Primeval, let alone defeated it. Large parts of the community feel that its spawn rate is far too low.
The solution: The developers have made some adjustments. In the third week of the curse cycle – that is, when the curse is at its strongest – the Ascendant Primeval will appear in Gambit matches with almost the same frequency as any other Primeval. The chances of getting the service violation quest will be significantly increased.
The spawn probability during the remaining two weeks will also be increased. However, the likelihood of encountering the Servitor will still be higher during the third week.

By the way: As the Ascendant spawn rate increases significantly, the drop rate of the ship and the Sparrow that can drop from this boss will also be adjusted. These items will no longer be guaranteed in boss kills after earning the quest.
When will the change come? The changes are set to be included in Update 2.0.5, which is scheduled for October 30, 2018. However, Bungie emphasized that if issues arise during development, these adjustments may also be delayed.
