What happened? Since this September, the MOBA Battlerite Royale has been making waves on Steam. There you can play the game in Early Access. Now, however, the developer announces that the game is taking the step to Free-to-Play.

What’s in Battlerite Royale
What is BattleRite Royale? Battlerite Royale calls itself a MOBA-Royale. It is an arena brawler that emphasizes speed. Rounds end quickly, and the map shrinks, eliminating all players who cannot escape.
The game is not a classic Battle Royale shooter like Fortnite. It relies heavily on melee combat and elements like skill shots. Smart use of abilities and well-timed dodges bring victory.
How could you access Battlerite Royale until now? The game has been playable in Steam Early Access for 20 Euros. The spin-off game Battlerite has nearly 50,000 reviews, with over 80% being positive. Battlerite Royale has almost 3,000 reviews.
What is new now? While Battlerite could already be played for free, Battlerite Royale is now also taking the step to Free-to-Play. From February 19, you can play the game without any additional costs.
This is what the developer promises: Players can not only look forward to the free version of the game but also to a huge content update. Additionally, the spin-off Battlerite will also receive a major update. The developer will announce more detailed information about the new features in the coming days.
Why is the game now coming as Free-to-Play? The developer explains the current shift to free as follows: “In response to our community’s request to release the game as soon as possible, we can now announce that the Free-to-Play launch of Battlerite Royale finally has a release date!”
