On May 24, 2023, Sony held the big PS5 Showcase. With it a lot of new games and sequels. Additionally, there were also two new tech announcements. MeinMMO was live for you and summarizes the most important information for you.

Thus ends Sony’s showcase. A total of 33 games were shown, many of them new, some of them known. At the end, there was also a brief look at new tech gadgets for the PS5: The new handheld, Project Q, and the in-ear headphones for the PS5.

Next up is Spiderman. This time a battle with a large lizard, including quick-time events. The battle then continues on land. Quite chaotic and confusing. But definitely fun to watch. Hopefully, the game will be just as exciting as the varied 10 minutes of gameplay.

Miles Morales and Peter Parker in one game. And a strange robot that talks to them.

The officially last trailer. It goes into a dark forest and combats with melee weapons. So far, there’s little gameplay to see. Everything so far has been rendered material.
Scene change to New York, finally some gameplay as well. A new Spiderman title. You see the first fights and the game interface.

The next trailer is for a movie. The film is called “Gran Turismuo”. The date is still unknown, but it is based on a true story.
The already announced American motorsport film by director Neill Blomkamp is supposed to come to theaters in Germany on August 10, 2023.

The next trailer is for “Concord.” You actually see nothing of the game.
According to the developer, it is supposed to be a new PvP multiplayer first-person shooter, which is set to be released in 2024 for PS5 and PC. Real, solid information is otherwise still missing, so we need to wait to see what else is presented.

The next trailer shows Dragon’s Dogma II. Already the predecessor could excite many players with its party-based role-playing and fantastic soundtrack. Many fans had called for a sequel and are now likely to be pleased with the presentation.
There is no release date, and no platform (PC, PS5) has been mentioned either. Here, we have to wait and see. RPG fans should keep this game in mind.

It’s about animals. Or at least a bird that catches a frog. It then gets eaten by a crocodile/snake. As you soon find out, it’s not about animals at all, but about the person who appears out of the darkness:
“Metal Gear Solid 5 – Snake Eater” will be released in Fall 2023 for the PS5. Additionally, the old titles are also supposed to become available on the PS5. Release dates for the remasters are not yet known.

Again a completely different look. A game from the creators of “Gris.” The drawn art style looks beautiful and shows a white-haired girl who has dark, dramatic dreams. Reminds a bit of “Princess Mononoke.”
