When can everyone finally buy a PS5? Hiroki Totoki, the CEO of Sony, emphasized that they are still behind in the production of the PS5. He states:
We are very confident that we can get the parts and components, and if the question is whether we can meet the demand, I think we are still somewhat behind.
The stock remains “very low, so to deliver our PlayStation units smoothly and on time to customers, we are still somewhat behind in this regard.”
This probably doesn’t reassure especially those who desperately want to buy a PS5. After all, thousands of users are still waiting to finally be able to purchase a PS5.
Are there any good news? Yes, there are. Sony expects to deliver more than 18 million PS5 consoles in the next fiscal year (between April 2022 and March 2023), which is at least 6.5 million more consoles.
