Sony has released fresh information about a new Legend in Apex Legends it seems that Octane and Co. will be joined in Season 1.
What exactly did Sony say? On the official product page of Apex Legends for PlayStation 4 from Sony, there is a short text about Season 1 of the battle royale hit.
Sony writes in this text:
New Legends and Loot – Two new characters will appear during the Season
The first of these characters is the new Legend Octane, who has been available since the start of Season 1 and the Battle Pass. The other new Legend can only be speculated about so far.
Which new Legend is that? From some leaks and through the famous Apex player Shroud, a name for a hero is already known: Wattson.
Wattson was among the Legends, that Shroud could play before the release of Apex Legends.
According to some leaks and data miners, one of Wattson’s abilities is said to be a shock trap. Fans speculate that these work similarly to Caustic’s gas traps.
They suspect items on the ground or on the wall that shock and briefly stun or slow down affected opponents.
This is what Sony confirmed: In the text, it is not only mentioned that there is a new Legend. There will be more items coming:
- a new “weapon set”
- which probably includes another weapon besides the new Havoc
- new cosmetics for each new Legend and each weapon
The new weapon could be the L-STAR, which has already appeared frequently in leaks. The L-STAR is said to be a light machine gun that does not require ammunition. Instead, it can “overheat” and is limited by that.
How reliable is the information? That a new Legend is coming is very certain because the information comes directly from Sony and not from data miners.
The information about which Legend it will be is still speculation.
Respawn has already commented earlier on leaks, stating that players should not rely too much on them. Only official information is securely substantiated.
