During the Game Summer Fest, first gameplay was shown with the DualSense controller. Additionally, Sony briefly commented on pre-orders. This could reassure many fans who fear missing the start of pre-orders.
Where do the information come from? On the occasion of the Game Summer Fest, first gameplay with the PS5 DualSense was shown. Video game journalist Geoff Keighley and Eric Lempel, Vice President and Head of Worldwide Marketing & Consumer Experience at PlayStation, talked about the PlayStation 5. During this, Lempel also revealed something about pre-orders.
What exactly did he say? Lempel explained during the stream that there will be a proper, official announcement for the pre-order of the PlayStation 5. He said:
I think for your viewers, it is safe to say that we will inform them when a pre-order will take place. It will not happen on the side. At some point, we will let you know when you can pre-order the PlayStation 5. So please do not feel like you need to line up somewhere until you receive an official announcement.
