In the new survival game Sons of the Forest, there are a whole range of weapons that you can use to defend yourself against mutants and cannibals. Which ones do you prefer to use?
The new game Sons of the Forest was released last week on Steam and exploded both on Steam and on Twitch like a bomb. You find yourself on a deserted island and must defend against mutants and cannibals who would love to eat you.
To successfully fend off the intrusive “fans,” you need of course weapons. There are over 20 types in Sons of the Forest. Some you have right from the start, like sticks or stones, while others you have to craft, as is fitting for a survival game.
Each of them has its pros and cons:
- Some require ammunition or electricity
- Some have long range, while others are only useful in close combat
- Some require materials that you have to farm first
- Some can only be used a few times
However, they all help you survive on the terrible island and should not be missing from your inventory if you don’t want to quickly bite the dust.
Since Sons of the Forest is still in Early Access, one can assume that the developers will add more toys over time. Until then, you can already tell us which of the currently available weapons are your favorites.
