In Sons of the Forest you can find radios in various locations. We’ll show you where to find radios and how to make Kelvin the DJ.
In the survival game Sons of the Forest, you can find a radio in specific locations and listen to music when you can no longer stand the silence of the forest – and Kelvin carries it for you.
Where can you find the radio? The radio can be found at various points on the map in Sons of the Forest. For example, there is a radio in the northwest of the island, in an abandoned camp.
Another radio is located in the west on a beach. The radio is there by a corpse and plenty of loot. A visit is definitely worth it.
Here you can see the various locations on the map (via mapgenie.io) where you can find radios, as well as the location of the radio on the beach:
How do you use the radio? In Sons of the Forest, there are two ways to listen to the radio. The first is the obvious one: you stand next to a radio you found and listen to the music. Of course, you can also change the station while doing so.
However, you can also instruct Kelvin to fetch the radio.
How does Kelvin become the DJ? For this, you take the note that you use to send the NPC to collect wood or catch fish and select the “Fetch” option when you are near a radio.
If Kelvin is close enough to the radio, you can select “Fetch the radio”. Your helpful companion will then run off, grab the radio, and carry it on his shoulder. If you also give the command “and follow me”, Kelvin will follow you with the radio on his shoulder.
If you are additionally accompanied by Virginia, you will also discover the musical side of the three-legged NPC lady, who starts to dance when the radio is playing.
Currently, however, it is still the case that you cannot keep the radio permanently. If you move too far away from the place where you found the radio, it will despawn.
If you happen to lose Kelvin next to the radio, players have found a trick to make the NPC respawn:
