Who is Virginia? The mutant with three arms and three legs has been known since early gameplay of Sons of the Forest. She wanders across the island and encounters you in the game randomly, with many players meeting her during missions while searching for their team.
Virginia is one of the possible companions in the game that can help you protect your camp and fight against enemies. Companions are one of the new features in Sons of the Forest.
Spoiler: This is Virginia in the story
In Sons of the Forest, you are supposed to search for a missing billionaire. Once you start the game, you can view various case files on your laptop about the people you are looking for and your objective.
One of these case files is about Virginia Puffton, the daughter of billionaire Edward Puffton. She is 20 years old and a student. Apparently, the mutant Virginia and the billionaire’s daughter are the same person.
This is how you recruit Virginia: Unlike Kelvin, whom you have as a companion right at the beginning and who follows your commands, you must first befriend Virginia. To do this, you need to approach the mutant peacefully when you see her.
You must not have any weapons or other items in your hands when you approach her. Put away everything you are carrying with the “G” key and then slowly walk towards her. It may take a while for her to accept you.
Once Virginia starts dancing for you or seems generally friendlier, you know you are doing it right. However, she remains shy and stubborn, and you must first get her used to fighting with you.

Getting Virginia: NPC companions help you in combat and gathering
Unlike Kelvin, Virginia is especially suited as a fighter. Since she has multiple limbs, you can give the companion several of the various weapons in Sons of the Forest to hold.
According to player opinion, firearms like shotguns and pistols are best suited for her. She can carry both a shotgun and a pistol at the same time. However, she needs to get used to fighting against other mutants.
Virginia gets cold quickly, which is why she feels less comfortable in winter. Make sure to light fires and provide shelter in colder seasons so that she is well. Companions have their own behavior that can change depending on how you treat them.
