39-year-old football professional Kevin Ellison was told by his son how slow he is in FIFA 19. However, he protests slightly: he isn’t that slow. That is age discrimination.

One day, his son came home with the new FIFA 19, and the first thing he looked up was not Messi, but his old father, Kevin Ellison.
The midfielder has 57 points on a bronze card but has a terrible 35 Pace. So he is very slow. With 35 Pace on a scale from 1 to 99, Ellison is among the slowest players in FIFA 19. Even in his own team, the next slowest midfielder was 26 points higher.
His son teased him a little about it.
This is how the footballer defends himself: In collaboration with his club, Ellison proved that he is not that slow at all. Because professional footballers wear GPS monitors and find out how fast they were and how far they ran after every training session. These values are also posted.
So, some people on social media could have been shown that the 39-year-old can still keep up with the other players, the professional explains.
Ellison says:
“They call me a dinosaur. And I am an old man. Actually, my career should be over, and I should be lying in a nursing home resting. But the data doesn’t lie. I am faster than my teammates. My legs still seem to hold up.
This went on: The professional then recorded a video with his son where he demonstrates his speed based on the data.
The video has now nearly 1.5 million views. In the video, he shows that the internal training data speaks a completely different language than the Pace ratings in FIFA.
Ellison says that people sent him videos of scoring goals against Madrid, Manchester United, or Barcelona with his player character.
Ellison saw himself running past Messi in FIFA 19 and smashing the ball into the top corner.
But concerning the 35 Pace in FIFA 19, that probably won’t change, Ellison says. There is simply “Ageism”, that is, age discrimination.
Ellison doesn’t seem to be too burdened by it. In February he will turn 40, and he plans to stick around for another year. Maybe he will then have a higher Pace rating in FIFA 20.
