Lilith is the antagonist in Diablo 4. But even though (or precisely because) she is the opponent, some players seem to feel attracted to her. A journalist therefore asked the crucial question to Blizzard: Can we ask Lilith out on a date?
What is the answer to the question? Game Director Joe Shely initially misunderstood the question. He thought the journalist was asking if it was possible to play as Lilith.
General Manager Rod Fergusson, on the other hand, burst into laughter. The short answer: No. (via pcgamesn.com)
But the two Blizzard employees understand where the feelings for Lilith come from. Lilith is not just a villain, but a character with a lot of depth. She doesn’t just kill people out of anger, but has her own motivation. This makes her even more humanized, which can be attractive to players:
By defining these supernatural powers with more human terms, we give players the opportunity to build a different relationship with them than just that of an antagonist.

Lilith and Inarius in a Dating Sim
Is a dating sim coming now? Fergusson smiles and explains that he will make a note that fans are interested in a dating sim for Diablo. He has heard the desire “loud and clear.”
And in fact, it wouldn’t be so unlikely: There was already a dating sim called LoverWatch for Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch, where we could date characters from Overwatch.
While the game had some cringeworthy dialogues and oversexualized depictions of the characters, it was probably the right alternative for fans of certain characters to the actual game.
