Instead of throwing Poké Balls, you are shooting wild Pokémon with assault rifles. A player created the Pokémon shooter and shared gameplay for it. It looks really good in action, but fans are horrified that they are shooting at the cute Pokémon.

What kind of shooter is this? On Reddit and Twitter, the developer of the game shared new gameplay from their shooter. This is a first-person shooter where Pokémon are your targets.
The developer worked on the game for about a month and built it in Unreal Engine 5. We show you gameplay and details about the game and also how Pokémon trainers are reacting to it.
With the rifle against Articuno – There are even boss fights
This is what the developer says: On Twitter, a user writes “Someone should develop a Pokémon shooter” and developer “Dragon” was inspired by the idea. He then spent about 30 days of development time with Unreal Engine and designed the shooter with his team. He says that the game will not be available for you to play. It is only a project of the developer. He also has copyright and resulting lawsuits in mind.
A clip with gameplay scenes went viral on Twitter. Just after two days, it reached over 800,000 views. We embed the video here:
In the video, you can see weapons like rifles, shotguns, and pistols shooting at wild monsters like Arbok or Pikachu. There is also blood involved. A brutal gameplay concept that you don’t see from the “cute” Pokémon game series. While you do battle other Pokémon in the original games and sometimes use hefty attacks, you do not shoot at monsters with guns and see blood splatter.
In the shown boss battles against Articuno, Zapdos, and Mewtwo, you can see that the opponents use attacks. Zapdos shoots electrical blasts, Articuno creates huge ice chunks, and Mewtwo fires psychic orbs and creates illusions on the battlefield.
The game does not come from Nintendo and the chance of it being released is low. Nevertheless, it is exciting to see what a fresh take on the genre could look like. The developer released a video on YouTube that shows the development process of the game (via YouTube.com)
