This player has discovered an interesting method to have a lot of fun in Red Dead Online . He takes pictures of other players in the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Which player is it? The player Aaron “ALG_627” Lutz shared his interesting hobby in Red Dead Online with the community. In the game, he has taken up photography as his focus.
What does he photograph? Mainly other players he encounters during his gameplay sessions. These are simply strangers who cross his path. Lutz then puts away his weapons, moves into the right position, and takes a screenshot of the other player.
Afterward, he sends the photographed player his screenshot. They are often surprised, but they also appreciate it. Others just shoot him in the game.
Why does he do it? He takes photos for fun when there isn’t much happening in Red Dead Online. He explains that sending them to the players in the photos makes sense because “Everyone likes it when photos are taken of them. Usually at least.”
In the process, he experiences many interesting stories. In an interview with Kotaku , he talks about his hobby and his experiences.
“The main reason I started photographing other players was that I had enough of Rockstar’s lack of attention for Red Dead Online. That’s why I decided to experiment with this idea and see what would happen,” explains Lutz.
He notes that players are waiting for new content in Red Dead Online while GTA Online from Rockstar gets a casino, cars, missions, and weapons. “RDO players only get care packages and new hats weekly,” he says.

When he sends the players the screenshots, he usually receives a simple “Thank you” in return. Sometimes, banter is exchanged over chat. One player asked where his eyebrows had gone, which apparently vanished in the screenshot process. Lutz replied, “They’re probably where your hairline has also disappeared.”
Deadly encounter: In the online world of Red Dead Redemption 2, you meet many cowboys. Some of them are more trigger-happy than others. So, when Lutz puts away his weapons to photograph, he doesn’t always survive the situation.
After this deadly encounter, he sends the killer the screenshot.
- “Ok, why are you sending me that?”
- “Because I like taking pictures of people and sending them the photos. By the way, you could work on your aiming.”
- “Thanks for your kindness. I know I could use some work on that.”
Such deadly encounters in RDO are rather a rarity for Lutz, he explains. This interesting finger pistol in RDR2 would be less deadly.
“Wait, is that me?”
He encountered another player during stranger missions. After some time had passed, the new player told him about their tough life. At some point, they stopped doing missions and just stood around on the map while the player shared their worst times in life.
Then suddenly a full moon appeared and stood perfectly for a photo. Lutz photographed it and sent it to the player.
He then said:
- “Wait, is that me?”
- “Yes, the moon came up and I couldn’t help it.”
- “Wow, man. That’s a really good picture. Did you just take that?”
- “Yeah, I do this a lot now because there’s practically nothing else to do in the game. So I take pictures of players I meet and send them. Want to see more? I have some really good ones.”
- “Sure, man. Send it over. This is really artistic stuff here, I really like it.”
