Paramount Hero is a new MMORPG that was released on October 7, 2022, on Steam. It is a solo project by developer Graham Darcey.
Darcey is from America and has been working in the gaming industry for over 10 years according to his LinkedIn profile. Paramount Hero is his first solo project on Steam. It is currently in Early Access and costs €12.49.
Recent projects by solo developers have proven to be quite successful, as shown by the RPG Gedonia. It received 90% positive reviews on Steam.
What kind of game is it? Paramount Hero is an MMORPG with a classic fantasy setting. You create a character, kill monsters, and complete quests. PvP is also possible.
The environment is partially handcrafted and partially procedurally generated, covering an area of 3 km². To move, you need to click on the desired spot instead of using arrow keys or WASD.
Visually, the game is reminiscent of RPGs from the 1990s, such as The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall or Planescape: Torment. However, it still feels very raw.
