Many guardians wish these days that there are more powerful and unique weapons in Destiny 2 that will be talked about for years to come.
If you ask a guardian veteran which “cult weapons” existed in Destiny 1, iconic weapons like the Gjallarhorn, the Falcon’s Might, or the Icebreaker immediately come to mind, which he could tell countless stories about.
And cult weapons from Destiny 2? Are there any?
This is also what the Redditor LordTutTut thought: Destiny 2 needs cooler weapons, and why shouldn’t Bungie draw from the weapons of their previous sci-fi shooter franchise: Halo!
Focus Rifle from Halo in Destiny 2
The Redditor took the Focus Rifle from Halo: Reach (2010, Xbox 360) and transformed it into an exotic sniper rifle. It could look like this in Destiny 2:
The “fan-made” weapon is called Jun’s Guilty Pleasure and, like all other exotics, has a range of perks. What those are, the Redditor does not disclose, but in Halo, the weapon could fire a laser beam over great distances.
The Redditor also thought of the stats, elemental damage, and a lore text, which, by the way, is a quote from Halo. The quote comes from the Prophet of Regret, who was a strange and quirky leader of the Covenants in Halo, who liked to cause chaos from his floating chair.
Here you see the weapon in Halo: Reddit is full of praise for this crossover. Some guardians even say that Xbox players should get such Halo weapons as exclusives, and then PS4 players can gladly keep their exclusive content in Destiny 2.
