In Helldivers 2, fans have recently voiced concerns that the developers might reduce support for the 3rd-person shooter and focus instead on their new game. Now, the CEO gives a clear answer about the future of the game.
Who is it about? Shams Jorjani has been the new CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios since May 2024. He succeeded the current Creative Director Johan Pilestedt who degraded himself last year to work more on the game.
Jorjani is also a hands-on CEO, frequently chatting with the Helldivers on the in-house Discord and answering questions about the game. Recently, some fans seemed worried that Helldivers 2 could soon lose some developers in favor of the new project “Game 6.” The CEO has a clear answer regarding this.

The Future Looks Bright
How is Helldivers 2 doing? On Discord, user @Under Cover asked the new CEO how long he thinks they can provide Helldivers 2 with new content. The CEO explained: “As long as you keep playing and purchasing Super Credits, we can keep it going.”
He further explains that the developers faced major problems last summer, but the support from the players helped turn things around. “You support us really well, so things look good.”
How are fans reacting to the news? The Helldivers are considered loyal fans and want to spend even more money on their favorite game after this news. Instead of farming the premium currency in the game, players decide to buy the DLCs with real money.

I know that farming SCs is super popular, but I have no problem giving AH $10 every month or so for a Warbond. They are not a perfect studio and I don’t always agree with all their decisions, but the value of this game is just incredible for the price. Plus, they don’t engage in many of the business practices that are considered exploitative in the gaming community, even though they absolutely could, like almost every other live service game does.

No Worries About Game 6
What is “Game 6” all about? The new project “Game 6” is supposed to be the next title from the Helldivers 2 creators at Arrowhead Game Studios. In the background, the conceptual phase is currently starting (via gamerant.com).
With the new project, the developers have also learned from past mistakes and want to develop this time without help from Sony, with 100% equity, so fully financed by themselves.
