In Fortnite: Battle Royale, players are annoyed by the new turret. Therefore, Epic has already prepared the fourth and fifth nerfs to finally fix the controversial item.
What is the problem with the turrets? Hardly any item in recent months has caused as much of a stir as the new turret. It has only been in the game for a week and is causing a lot of frustration among players.
Because the turret is absurdly strong, has infinite ammunition, is difficult to counter, and can even be operated without overheating using an exploit.
Many players see the turret as a major nuisance and consider the last week one of the worst in recent months. They are increasingly shouting, “Epic, finally remove that damn turret from the game!”
Epic is still trying to fix the turret
What has Epic done so far? However, the developers probably don’t want to hide their “baby” back in the vault just a week after its release. Therefore, they are diligently working on the item. So far, there have already been three nerfs:
- The hit points have been reduced
- It only dropped half as often in the Food Fight mode (where it was particularly dominant)
- The halved drop chance was eventually extended to all modes
Still, Fortnite players were angry and found that “the turret has to go!”.
Heavy nerf power against the turret: Epic is trying again with a heavy nerf offensive. Firstly, according to developer Eric Williamson on Twitter, a hotfix will increase overheating and decrease the headshot multiplier.
Specific patch next week: For the upcoming update 6.31 next week, the hitbox of the shooter will also be made larger. This means that enemies will be able to hit you more easily when you’re sitting in the turret. Even from the front, which has been a big problem.
The salvation of the turret? If Epic’s plan works, the turret should finally have a worthy place among the items in Fortnite and no longer dominate the game. If not, it may just be a matter of time until the turret again disappears into the vault and likely won’t return anytime soon.
