Crimson Desert will be released in a few weeks, but almost nothing is known about the PS5. Players fear that the console version might not be good. However, the marketing manager of Pearl Abyss, Will Powers, contradicts this: They are hiding nothing and will show new information soon enough.
While some players have already had a chance to look at the PC version and spent several hours with it, there is barely any real information available about the PS5 and Xbox versions. Many players fear that the developers are deliberately withholding details or gameplay from the console versions.
Now, the marketing head of Crimson Desert has responded to these allegations. Will Powers explained in a statement on X.com visibly annoyed that they are hiding nothing and will show the game on the PS5 soon enough:
We are hiding nothing, and I am tired of having to repeat myself constantly.
I have said hundreds of times that we will announce information before the release so that people have enough time to pre-order the game. We say this very openly… Let us work in peace, please! Thank you very much.

What are these allegations? For some time now, users have been demanding concrete gameplay of Crimson Desert on the PS5 or details about modes or advantages of the PS5 Pro. However, Pearl Abyss has been notably reserved regarding the console version of the game.
Some users even claim that the developer is deliberately withholding information because the PS5 version simply might not be good. And again, Will Powers consistently reassures that they will provide the information soon enough (via Reddit.com).
For some, the hint that they will show information before the pre-order sounds like mockery. Because many have already pre-ordered or are in the process: On Amazon, Crimson Desert is currently among the bestsellers and with some providers, the game is already sold out (via Reddit.com).
What do we even know? Will Powers already confirmed in February that Crimson Desert benefits from the performance of the PS5 Pro and offers “PS5 Pro enhancement”. The enhanced version of PSSR 2 is also supposed to be available on the PS5 Pro.
Further information, especially real, unfiltered gameplay on the PS5 or Xbox, is still completely missing. And this is heavily criticized by the community.
