A small hotfix has caused true celebrations among hunter players in World of Warcraft. But a few absurd screenshots were also created as a result.
In recent days, there have been few positive reports surrounding World of Warcraft. Many aspects of Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth are under criticism, especially the boss fight against N’Zoth and the extremely disappointing cinematic, which marks the end of the expansion.
However, one class has been thrilled for nearly two days, as its players have received many new options. We are talking about hunters, who can now tame several new species.
What has changed for hunters? In a hotfix, Blizzard has now made many animal species in World of Warcraft tamable for hunters. The new families that hunters can now acquire include:
- Dread Ravens
- Rocs
- Sea Serpents
- Mechanical Chickens

Additionally, the Slate Crabs, Rampaging Pterrordaxes, and Dread Tick Biters are now considered the correct creature type (and can thus be tamed).
Hunters now have a much wider selection of animals they can choose as companions.
What does this mean exactly? For those who cannot envision anything under the names, there are currently many proud hunters presenting their new companions in the WoW subreddit.
This includes the world boss Rukhmar, who is native to the peaks of Arak. A hunter even proudly presents the beast in Boralus. A bug caused Rukhmar to retain its original size. While it is not as large as a certain tree, it is still impressive.
How are players reacting? The reaction to this change is positive. There are virtually no negative voices – after all, there is no discernible downside to it. Anyone playing a hunter will likely be busy over the next few days accumulating many new companions and filling their stables.
The hotfix impressively demonstrates how a large number of players can be made happy with just a small change.
In another aspect, however, Blizzard fails to offer fans what they want – as seen with the disaster called Warcraft III: Reforged.
