In Pokémon GO, the big Snap Event has started, and for that, you need to take snapshots outdoors, among other tasks. We will show you how this task works.
What it’s about: In the Snap Event, there are field research tasks and a limited-time research for which you need to take snapshots outdoors. Such a task has never existed before, leading to some confusion.
However, taking snapshots outdoors is quite easy, and the tasks can be completed quickly. We will show you how to do it.
How to take snapshots outdoors
Here’s how to proceed: We will list step by step how you need to go about it:
- Click on a Pokémon in the wild
- Do not catch it, but click on the camera icon at the top center
- Now take a photo – it doesn’t matter whether it’s in AR mode or not
- Close the camera, and you will see that the quest is marked as completed
It is important that you click on a Pokémon in the wild. Monsters that have already been caught no longer count for this quest. So, if you need to take a snapshot of Safcon, Loturzel, or Griffel, you must find these monsters in the wild.
Is there a Farbeagle as well? That’s the big problem. Farbeagle only appears if you photograph Pokémon from your inventory. The monster will definitely appear during the first snapshot in the event. You can encounter Farbeagle 15 times a day.
Doing the quest while catching Farbeagle doesn’t work. However, you can first take a snapshot of Farbeagle and then photograph the Farbeagle in the wild. This way, you can quickly complete both tasks one after the other.
Why do you need to complete this quest? Anyone who wants to complete the limited-time research for the Snap Event must take multiple photos of Pokémon outdoors. Additionally, there are quests that include these tasks. You don’t have to complete them, but you can earn Panzaeron, Dodri, or Mantax as a reward. If you want these monsters, you should complete the quest.
What else is going on in the Snap Event? Besides snapshots, there are also interesting spawns in the wild and new raid bosses that you can battle. We will give you an overview of all the new bosses and how to defeat them in this article:
