Since yesterday, a new patch for SMITE is active. What it brings, we reveal to you here and tempt you with codes for the beetle god Khepri!
The Celestial Wedding
Yesterday, the new SMITE patch Celestial Wedding was released. It may bring only a few gameplay changes, but it does come with some stylish skins, balance changes for Khepri, and better tutorials for absolute beginners.
New Skins: Hou Yi, Chang’e, Zeus, and Odin
To live up to the name of the patch, the dream of two gods is finally coming true. The superhuman couple Hou Yi and Chang’e finally come together, for which they have each been given a wedding-appropriate costume, both of which come with their own voice pack (and if Chang’e’s voice pack doesn’t trigger your protective instincts, then I don’t know what will…)
But Odin also gets a new premium design, Daimyodin Odin, which is all about ancient Chinese warriors – probably his way of showing up at a wedding.
Lastly, Zeus receives a T2 skin, which is covered with some golden armor and additionally places a crown on his head.
Balance Changes for Khepri
The Beetle God Khepri was definitely a bit too strong after his introduction, as he provided too much damage reduction for the group and could still deal decent damage. For this reason, Rising Dawn is being weakened; it now grants 10% less protection for allies at all levels. The damage from Abduct has been reduced by almost 12% and his passive ability Fortitude now grants only 2% shield energy per tick, up to a maximum of 10% (previously 15).
